People meant what they said and what they sang.
But times are different now,
That was long ago,
But that doesn't mean we can't bring it back to the way it was.

There's a lot of sad songs in life,
We gotta take em and make em better.
Just roll with the changes,
speak your heart, sing about what matters to you.

Well have you ever heard the sound of silence?
Seen the answer blowin in the wind?
Did you really give peace a chance?
Or did you just give in?

We may not remember the day the music died,
But we've all been there before,
We've all felt pain, we've had to cry.
Well when you hear a melody, it should have you feelin alright.
It shouldn't just be words,
The music should cast a kind of light on you.
